SingleApp is a Responsive Multipurpose WordPress Theme used basically in blogging. In this section, you will find resources on how to setup this theme.

Installation:

The installation of this theme is very easy. After downloading you should have a compressed zip file of SingleApp theme which contains all the required templates and images.

Upload the theme:

  1. First of all, Go to Appearance> Themes in WordPress dashboard
  2. Then click on the Add New button
  3. Then search for the SingleApp
  4. Then select the SingleApp Theme
  5. Finally, click Install Now

Activate the Theme:

  1. For Activation of this Theme, First, go to Appearance> Themes in the WordPress dashboard
  2. Then hover over the Theme thumbnail and click the Active button.

Theme Strategy:

Menu Setup:

After activating this Theme, you will see all the pages as menus. So First create a custom menu and assign a location to display your own menu.

Set up the Custom Menu:

  1. First of all, Go to Appearance > Menus in the WordPress menu
  2. Then Click on Create a new menu link
  3. Then add the menu item (Here you can choose pages, custom links, and categories)
  4. Then check the required Theme location
  5. Finally, Click Save Menu after adding required custom links in the menu

Theme location for Menu settings:

  • Primary Menu: Display the menu on the left side of the header.
  • Front Page Menu: Display the menu only in front page on the left side of the header.
Site Identity:

This Theme supports the default site Identity section which is provided by WordPress.

Some options integrated into this theme section:

  1. First Go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity section from the WordPress dashboard.

The options integrated into this theme in this section are:

  • Site Title: Add the required Site Title from this section on your site.
  • Tagline: Add the required Site Tagline from this section on your site.
  • Logo: This option enables you to upload the header logo on your site, making your site brand look unique by using the custom image.
Display Options

Upload the Logo to display it in the Header. Following Options are provided:
1. Header Logo Only: displays the header logo only
2. Header Text Only: displays the header text only
3. Show both header logo and text: displays both of the logo image and header text
4. Disable: disable both of them to be displayed

Site Icon

  1. The Site Icon is used as a browser and app icon for your site. Icons must be square, and at least 512 pixels wide and tall.
  2. Finally, Click on Save & Publish button after the required setup has been done on your site through this setting.
Front Page Setup:

It is a template design to display the Widgets which are used in FrontPage Template Slider (Appearance->Widgets).

Steps to use this:

  1. First, Create 2 pages i.e, Home and Blog Page. Assign Home to Landing Page Template.
  2. Then Go to Appearance-> Widgets and drag/select the widgets on the Front Page Template Sidebar. Now Home Page will display all the widgets used in FrontPage Template Sidebar.
  3. To display Home Page as front page: go to Settings-> Reading and select A static page radio option under Front page displays.
  4. Then, choose the Home Page in Frontpage.
  5. Also, choose Blog page on the Posts page.
Theme Styles:

There are mainly two types of styles available in this Theme. By default, it is Onepage style.

Steps:

  1. First, Go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Style section from the WordPress dashboard

The options integrated into this theme in this section are:

  • One page Style
  • Fixed Full page Style
  1. Then Click on Save & Publish button after the required setup has been done on your site through this setting.
Design Options:

Design based setting and custom CSS box are available in Appearance-> Customize-> Design Options

Layout Options:

  • Default Layout: This layout will be reflected in whole site archives, search etc. The layout for a single post and page can be controlled from below options.
  • The Default layout for pages only: Select default layout for pages. This layout will be reflected in all pages unless unique layout is set for the specific page. To select the unique Layout for any particular page edit that page and Choose the Layout from Layout option box.
  • Default Layout For Single Posts Only: Select default layout for single posts. This layout will be reflected in all single posts unless unique layout is set to the specific post. To select the unique Layout for any particular post edit that page and choose the Layout from Layout option box.

Primary Color:

  • SingleApp has Primary color Options, which allow you to set the primary color for your site.

Custom CSS:

  • SingleApp contains Custom CSS Box which will ease your work if you need to add CSS to your site. Note: It will strip all the tags. Also, we strongly recommend not to edit the code in the theme’s file. All your changes will be lost if you update the theme. Use child theme instead.
Additional Options:

Additional options are available in Appearance->Customize->Additional Options

Animated Settings:

  • Front Page Content: Hide the animation effects in the front page content.

Post Meta Settings:

  • Hide Post meta/information: Hide specific or all the meta/information from the Blog posts and Single post.
