Masonic is a Responsive Multipurpose WordPress Theme used basically in blogging. In this section, you will find resources on how to setup this theme.


The Installation of this theme is very easy. After downloading you should have a compressed zip file containing all the required templates and images.

Upload the theme:

  1. First of all, Go to Appearance> Themes in WordPress dashboard
  2. Then click on the Add New button
  3. Then click on the Upload link
  4. Then select the compressed file of Masonic
  5. Finally, click Install Now

Activate the Theme:

  1. For Activation of this Theme, First, go to Appearance> Themes in the WordPress dashboard
  2. Then hover over the Theme thumbnail and click the Active button.

Theme Strategy:

Menu Setup:

After activating this Theme, you will see all the pages as menus. So if you want selective menus, then you should look for the custom menu.

Set up the Custom Menu:

  1. First of all, Go to Appearance > Menus in the WordPress menu
  2. Then Click on Create a new menu link
  3. Then give a name to your menu in Menu Name
  4. Then click Create Menu button
  5. Then choose the pages, categories, custom links from the left side of your Theme by selecting the checkbox
  6. Then click on Add menu.
  7. Finally, Click Save Menu after adding required custom links in the menu
Header Settings:

All the options related to header part are available in Appearance->Customize

Add custom logo:

  1. First, Go to Appearance > Customize > Logo in the WordPress menu
  2. Upload the custom logo from the Select Logo button there.
  3. Finally, click on Save & Publish

Search Icon:

  1. First, Go to Appearance > Customize > Search Icon in the WordPress menu and Enable/Disable the search icon in your header section.
  2. Then, click on Save & Publish That’s it, open your home page and see the differences.

Header Image:

  1. First, Go to Appearance > Customize > Header Image in the WordPress menu
  2. Then, Upload the header image from the Add new image button there.
  3. After selecting the header image, it will ask you to crop. If you like to crop it, then, you can crop else leave it as you want for your site to best suit it.
  4. Finally, click on Save & Publish
Design Options:

Featured Image Cropping:

Masonic has Featured Image Cropping which will allow us to crop the Featured Thumbnail Image with certain height and width for blog/archive page.

  1. First, Go to Appearance > Customize > Featured Image Cropping in the WordPress menu
  2. Check enable/disable the cropping the Featured Image.
  3. Finally, click on Save & Publish

Custom CSS:

Custom CSS Box is available in Appearance-> Customize-> Custom CSS.

  1. Masonic has Custom CSS which will ease your work if you need to add CSS to your site.
  2. Then, click on Save & Publish
